Karin Pfetzer
Director of Operations

Karin Pfetzer is Director of Operations for Conversis, a U.K.-based leading provider of Globalization, Internationalization, Localization and Translation (GILT) services. Established in 2003, Conversis is a subsidiary of Ruxley Holdings, based in the United Kingdom.

As Director of Operations, Pfetzer manages a team of project managers, desktop publishing experts and engineers for Conversis. She is also directly involved with all project management processes as well as personnel and resourcing decisions.

Prior to joining Conversis, Pfetzer spent two years with K International, one of the United Kingdom's largest translation agencies. In her role as production manager, she implemented procedures and led the company to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification. Pfetzer also spent two years as an in-house linguistics project manager for Sage Enterprise Solutions in the UK. In addition, she managed projects in eastern European and Asian languages.

Her previous experience included three years with SDL International as a German in-house translator. There she worked on projects for renowned software and multimedia developers in the technical and scientific fields.

Pfetzer graduated from the University of Heidelberg in Germany with a degree in translations. She later went on to receive her master's degree in business administration from Henley Management College. In addition, she serves on the board of Conversis.
